HABANERO

Habaneros are believed to have existed since B.C., spreading from the Amazon in South America, and were introduced to Mexico. Habaneros were later traded in large quantities in Havana, Cuba, and the name Habanero was derived from Havana, meaning “habanero. Still famous as a hot pepper, Habanero was recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's hottest pepper until 1999. Its citrusy, fruity aroma and intense spiciness attract many people.
