SCORPION CHILI

The Trinidad and Tobago Moruga Scorpion is spicier than Bhut Jolokia, which is native to the small village of Moruga in Trinidad and Tobago in the southern Caribbean. It is called scorpion chili because of its sharp, scorpion-like appearance. It is characterized by an intense spiciness that comes later, delayed, and is fruity and sweet before the spiciness is felt. The more you stress it, the hotter it gets, making Trinidad Moruga Scorpion the fifth hottest chile in the world, ahead of habanero and jolokia.
