“UMAMI” is the fifth basic taste, originating in Japan. Discovered as the fifth taste alongside sweetness, saltiness, sourness, and bitterness, the Japanese word “UMAMI” has now become a globally recognized term used around the world. Inspired by this uniquely Japanese concept comes UMAMI RESERVE. Made with a luxurious blend of umami-rich ingredients, including shiitake mushrooms, seaweed, tomatoes, miso, capers, garlic, and chipotle, this is a premium hot sauce packed with deep, savory flavor. Made with chocolate habanero peppers, known for their deliciously deep and earthy flavor. “Chocolate” refers to the dark color of the pepper and does not mean that it tastes like chocolate. Perfect as a marinade for meat or fish, or simply drizzled over ohitashi, soups, fried rice, stir-fries, noodles, and other everyday dishes. Just a few drops will literally add UMAMI to your cooking.
