Formosa's founder, Furio (the man on the left in the photo on the right), immigrated to the United States from Central America at the age of 14. He began his career as a dishwasher in a restaurant and worked his way up to chef, and after years of trial and error, he perfected his Mexican-style hot sauce, Formosa, to recreate the taste of the delicious homemade hot sauce his grandmother used to make more than 40 years ago.

The Formosa lineup includes "Jalapeño," "Chipotle," "Habanero," and the new "Roasted Pepper. Roasted Pepper. All are very different from traditional hot sauces, thick and creamy like mayonnaise, and most importantly, YUMMY! I was shocked to learn that such delicious hot sauces are vegan, gluten-free, and additive-free. It is not too spicy and can be used as a topping, dip, or marinade for a variety of dishes instead of ketchup, mayonnaise, or mustard, so be careful not to eat too much of it. Formosa has been attracting fans for many years and is a hot sauce with so much character that it will change the way you think about hot sauces, and most importantly, it is delicious!
