ABOUT PEPPER
【Scoville Heat units】 2,500〜10,000 Scoville 【Origin】Mexico (Veracruz, Xalapa)
Jalapeño originates from the city of Jalapa in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. Jalapeno is one of the most popular hot peppers in the U.S., but it was the development of the "TAM Mild Jalapeno" (1,000 to 1,500 Scoville), a non-hot jalapeno, that led to its spread throughout the U.S. Since then, the jalapeno has remained the "king of hot peppers" in terms of popularity. Since then, the jalapeño has continued to reign supreme as the popular "king of peppers. Nicknamed the "fat bullet" for its thick pulp and bullet-like shape, the jalapeño turns from green to red as it ripens, and its green pepper-like odor gives way to a fruity, bell pepper-like flavor. However, jalapeños are best eaten in their green state before they ripen, and few people eat them as fully ripe jalapeños (red jalapeños). When ripe, they are often dried on the branch without being picked, smoked for three to four days, and enjoyed as chipotle.
ABOUT MAKER
Hoff & Pepper was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman, who were so pleased with the popularity of a hot sauce they made as a Christmas gift that they decided to commercialize it. The man depicted on the label of their hot sauce is modeled after "The Hoff," Aaron Hoffman. He is the founder and Chief Flavor Officer of Hoff & Pepper and is responsible for the flavor of Hoff & Pepper sauces. His wife, Michelle Hoffman, also known as "Pepper," is the Director of Production and is responsible for the production of Hoff & Pepper sauces. The Hoff & Pepper team has grown to the point where Hoff & Pepper's hot sauces are sold all over the world. Their award-winning Hoff Sauce Hot Sauce, which is also sold at Hot Sauce Bar, has won first place in the Louisiana Style category at the annual Hot Sauce Expo in New York City for three consecutive years since 2016. We hope you enjoy the cool design of Hoff Sauce, which comes in a glass bottle as thin as a whiskey bottle, as only a manufacturer from Tennessee, a state famous for its whiskey, can.
